The White Bitch
The White Bitch (solo and as a full band) has opened for TV on the Radio (thrice! At their request!), Of Montreal, Girl Talk, Trans Am, The MakeUp, Elf Power, The Fucking Champs (twice!), Quintron, Thrones, Dalek, Isis, Need New Body, Tilly and the Wall, and many more. The White Bitch has toured the south extensively, plays many of New Orleans' festivals, and has been nominated for several local awards.
The White Bitch began as a one-man-band utilizing just drum-machine, guitar, Moog and vocals. But over his eight years conquering New Orleans, The White Bitch has accrued a ragtag but hyper-talented band of New Orleans musicians to play along with his intricately-programmed backing beats. Current members include drummer Bret Bohnet (6 years), bassist David Hyman (1 year), and 53-year-old soundscape artist and “psychedelic guru,” Ray Bong (4 years).
After eight years of struggling to perfect its unique sound, in 2008 The White Bitch released its first-ever electro-psychedelic pop masterpiece, “The White Bitch’s Prey Drive,” to great acclaim.
